Unresolved emotional pain—whether from grief, loss, or life’s daily challenges—can quietly shape how we show up in relationships, at work, and within ourselves. About the Facilitators

  • Holly Strelzik is a grief specialist and certified Advanced Grief Recovery Method Specialist™ with a deep commitment to helping others navigate loss. Her journey began as an End-of-Life Doula, inspired by personal experiences of profound loss, including the passing of loved ones, her husband’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis, and a life-altering health crisis of her own. Holly founded Healing Heart to Heart, a private grief practice, and later established the nonprofit Center for the Heart (C4TH) to increase access to compassionate end-of-life and grief support in New Jersey.

Holly’s extensive training includes thanatology, pastoral care, energy work, and alternative modalities that enable her to support clients holistically. Through her unique perspective on grief and her advanced certification, Holly guides individuals in embracing grief as a transformative experience. She co-founded Taming Our Grief Ghosts, where she leads workshops designed to help participants recognize, process, and ultimately find healing in their grief.

Her dedication to end-of-life care and grief literacy stems from both professional expertise and personal resilience. Holly’s approach is compassionate, non-judgmental, and deeply human, empowering clients to find peace and meaning in their journey through loss. • Dr. Gingold is a New Jersey, New York, and Interjurisdictionally Telepsychology (APIT) licensed psychologist who received her Ph.D. in developmental psychology from Yeshiva University in 2003. Her career has always focused on the transition from adolescence to young adulthood and is passionate specifically around how developmental milestones are shaped by changes in societal norms. Dr. Gingold’s graduate work began with a master’s degree in counseling psychology in Boston at Northeastern University. It was during that time that she was trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) at the Women’s Treatment Program at McLean Hospital. She then completed a two-year marriage and family therapy residency program at Harvard Medical School and Blanton-Peale Counseling Center.

While moving from Boston to New York, she also shifted her focus from clinical work to research. Dr. Gingold coordinated a large five-year research project studying changes in adolescent relationships over time, and how those changes impact identity development at New York University. She published in the Journal of Social Issues and in the New Directions for Child and Adolescent Development. She later went on to teach and work in administrative positions in New Jersey before opening Family Health and Wellness Services in 2005.

Dr. Gingold has also become a Grief Recovery Method (GRM) Specialist due to her own personal experiences with relationship losses that came out of her divorce. Dr. Gingold found the GRM an instrumental complement to DBT because of its evidence-based treatment protocols which teach specific skills/ tools to remediate unprocessed grief/ emotional pain which came out of undelivered communications. Dr. Gingold has partnered up with Holly Strelzik, the founder of the Center for the Heart, to provide weekend trainings and evening workshops to support grief recovery.
