Holly Strelzik is a grief specialist and certified Advanced Grief Recovery Method Specialist™ with a deep commitment to helping others navigate loss. Her journey began as an End-of-Life Doula, inspired by personal experiences of profound loss, including the passing of loved ones, her husband’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis, and a life-altering health crisis of her own. Holly founded Healing Heart to Heart, a private grief practice, and later established the nonprofit Center for the Heart (C4TH) to increase access to compassionate end-of-life and grief support in New Jersey.
Holly’s extensive training includes thanatology, pastoral care, energy work, and alternative modalities that enable her to support clients holistically. Through her unique perspective on grief and her advanced certification, Holly guides individuals in embracing grief as a transformative experience. She co-founded Taming Our Grief Ghosts, where she leads workshops designed to help participants recognize, process, and ultimately find healing in their grief.
Her dedication to end-of-life care and grief literacy stems from both professional expertise and personal resilience. Holly’s approach is compassionate, non-judgmental, and deeply human, empowering clients to find peace and meaning in their journey through loss. Adrienne Petrino is a certified Transformational Life and Grief Coach, and a certified Grief Movement Guide based in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, NY with roots in the Bronx, NY and Cranford, NJ. Adrienne began her coaching journey in 2017 during the same time she became certified as a peer-to-peer grief support facilitator. This is when Adrienne realized how there was a need for coaching perspectives, strategies and tools in the grief space. “I didn’t have these tools or even know about these coping strategies when I lost my dad at the age of 20. It wasn’t until my mom died 18 years later that I was introduced to them.” Adrienne is a lifelong learner and continues to immerse herself in the lens of grief and trauma.
Through grief coaching and grief movement, Adrienne empowers her clients and community to transform their pain and struggle into peace and purpose using movement, breath and sound. Often, our emotions of grief get stuck in the body, and our bodies remember it, all of it. Sometimes talk is not enough. Adrienne focuses on the wisdom of the body and how listening and giving space to this wisdom can truly deepen the healing process and create lasting transformation. “Before working with Adrienne, I felt trapped in my grief. Now, I understand how to honor my body’s signals and move forward with clarity.”
Adrienne currently resides in Brooklyn, NY with her wife, teenage son, and 2 year old female chihuahua mix named Nocci. In July of 2024, inspired by her own journey of healing from grief and trauma, Adrienne self-published a collection of 20 poems titled, Let All Of It In. Grounded in values of curiosity, connection, and kindness, Adrienne's writing serves as a glimmer of light, offering comfort and insight to those navigating their own grief journeys.
What started as a conversation between two grief facilitators, Holly and Adrienne emerged into the creation of Taming Our Grief Ghosts. As the Co-Creator and Co-Facilitator of Taming Our Grief Ghosts, Adrienne co-creates safe spaces to hold our grief more gently through recognition, curiosity, and kindness.
